Register Below!

Military ID required. All experience levels are welcome. Space is limited.

In partnership with Fairways for Warriors, Milwaukee Tool, and Construction Careers Academy, our 2-day Tiny Home Building Workshop will teach participants a basic understanding of the entire design and construction process of custom multifunctional furniture and storage solutions used in tiny house living. Participants will have the opportunity to get hands-on experience and become proficient with all tools common in basic furniture design and finish carpentry while learning about different types of materials, the order of design and construction, and how each step effects the next, all the way through the project.

Veterans learn basic carpentry skills and building techniques as they relate to furniture design while joining together to customize a tiny home that will be donated to a combat-wounded veteran in need of permanent housing.

"I see tiny houses as a powerful tool to teach home construction job skills, build community, and provide affordable housing solutions, especially for our struggling veterans. Many people have reached out to me, all with the same objective – let’s build tiny homes for Veterans. Quality, yet affordable homes, that provides security, makes them proud of their living situation, and allows them to feel supported by their country in a way that would empower them to reach self-reliance.” - Zack Giffin
