Our Mission

Operation Tiny Home is a 501(c)(3) national nonprofit that assists people struggling with severe housing instability to maintain a life of dignity through custom high-quality tiny housing solutions and empowerment training programs.

Our Vision

  • A nation where communities are transformed through the empowerment of the individual.

  • Basic needs, such as secure and stable housing are met for all.

  • A sense of responsibility for our collective destiny influences how we build our homes and use energy.

It is from this nurturing foundation that healthy, sustainable communities are not just possible, but are able to thrive.

WE SUPPORT VETERANS

Building A Better Future For Veterans Program

The Building a Better Future for Veterans Program provides veteran participants with an opportunity to:

  1. learn carpentry skills,

  2. build confidence, and

  3. create a supportive community while building a tiny home for a homeless peer in need.

Our nation-wide tiny home building workshops empower veterans to serve their country in new ways and foster lasting transformation in housing stability. We look to the future together by giving people access to resources, education, and new opportunities, which creates the possibility for personal growth, self-sufficiency, and fulfillment.  Learn More

Pay-it-forward Veteran Housing Program

The Pay-it-Forward Veteran Housing Program provides independent housing for veterans in need of permanent housing.  Studies such as HUD’s The Applicability of Housing First Models to Homeless Persons have shown that Housing First models result in long-term housing stability, improved physical and behavioral health outcomes, and reduced use of crisis services such as emergency departments, hospitals, and jails. We believe that providing a permanent and safe home for our veterans in need of long-term housing transforms overall community health.

Our Pay-it-Forward Veteran Housing Program makes possible a life of dignity, freedom, and prosperity that every veteran facing housing instability deserves. Learn More
